Random Sampler (Radio Pieces)

Random Sampler is wall panel with 9 pocket transistor radios, each tuned to a different station, that are triggered in rhythmic patterns, using the content of each broadcast as indeterminately selected samples. Viewers, alter the patterns and "tune" the piece by varying their distance from the piece.

4 radios are turned on and off in a programmed rhythm, triggering indeterminate samples depending on what is coming though on the frequencies to which they are tuned.

While the rhythms do not change, differing times and locations make each playback unique.
